In one of the threads, someone mentioned a Silver Hilton. That reminded me of a pattern I used when I was fishing the tidewater areas for SRC. I came up with this guy which of course, is a variation of the Silver Hilton. The key is to use wide hackle feathers for the wing and make sure to tie them in so the flare out in a V. Also, as with the Borden's Special, I tie the collar rather long. I want to create movement with the V wing and the extra long collar. I use the same V wing approach for the Purple Joes I tie. I found a long time ago that SRC in the tidal areas like patterns with a flare.:)
