    A recent topic posted here, ("Brown Algae?"), reminded me that there are some interesting projects related to monitoring algae and plankton blooms, bacterial counts etc., here on Puget Sound regional waters. Here are a few relevant links for those who are inclined to do some reading on this. The first Blog: "Our Water Ways", is always a great read. The second link is the Dept of Ecology Water Quality Monitoring pages. Take note of the "Eyes On Puget Sound" program information there.
