Don't know about all of you, but with all this rain, I need something to get excited about. Here is a Donaldson Rainbow from a well known, fly fishing only lake. This fish was fooled by an unlikely dry fly called the "Racoon".

Hard to nail down a trip that was "the best", Albacore fishing off the mouth of the columbia was definatly up there. Screw steelhead, I'd rather catch these.

    Somewhere in SE AK...

On a 6wt, in salt water, while dolly fishin'. None of the clients could see this fish, and repeated efforts by the other guide (standing, w/rod) and I (holdin') to get them to cast and drift correctly were summarily ignored.

On lunch-break, thinking the fish to be imaginary, one of the clients gave me the rod and said "show us that fish now".

OK, no prob. It cruised by, one cast...one fish.

A few fish from a trip to MT in September, not sure if it was still summer, but close enough.

Yes, I do like to get that fish close to the camera, but they were still some decent trout. The rainbows were both on dries, the brown was on a streamer. That's my buddy Kevin in the middle-and that bow was the last on a hopper for the summer.

When I go fishing a camera is something I don't take along. When it is in my pocket I don't catch anything and when I leave it in the car it gets stolen. I have only a few big fish to my credit and those I carry around in my head most of the fish that I seem to catch are just dinks. 6" to 18"

I guess that you could say that I'm the worlds worst fly fisher. But I have fun out there not catching anything. :thumb:
