This fine story by a local fisherman and writer in today's Seattle Times brought a smile along with my morning coffee: http://seattletimes.com/html/sports/2023866619_taketwo18xml.html K
Kent, Nice piece it is... Porter had linked to it on the main Forum here; http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/forum/index.php?threads/nice-sea-times-piece.99490/
Been very busy so slow to respond. Kent as usual you found something that definitely brought back fond memories. I too have a similar story about a mass produced old rod that my Grandpa gave me as a youngster. Thanks to you and other bad influences like Mike Monsos I have much nicer bamboo rods and I fish those as often as possible. The one from Grampa is hung on my office wall as a keep sake. Thanks for sharing. Bob
I've got one of these rods too. It was either my dad's or mom's as they had matching outfits. I wish the reels had stayed around.
