It is true.
The place sucks. Believe everything you've heard.
The ferry ride was expensive, no fish, traffic is bad, lots of people and the scenery is terrible.
Stay away for your own good......

Awesome shots on this thread. So cool that one could spend a lifetime exploring the cutty and salmon beaches of the Salish Sea and still not figure them all out.

My family owned part of that beach from 1975 to 2015.
The stretch from the creek just north of the power plant to the small point still fishes very well from a small boat or kayak. Also ok for chums in Nov/Dec.
Glamping... I just learned that term. (Is it new, or am I slow?) Now I suppose it's going to pop up everywhere. That looks pretty deluxe to me, and super fun.
Bad fishing and good views seems to be a common trend lately. As @Stonefish said to me this weekend...this will not go down as banner year for MA9. Too bad after a promising start with good rezzie action. Time to get the kayak out in MA10/11/12/13.
Nope, will continue fish through September and into October for coho, just not on the beaches or in the MA I'd prefer.
Some years are great, others not so much.
This year started out great in July, but is tending towards the latter as the season has gone by.
Some years are just like that and certainly not the first time it's happened.
There could still be some good fishing to be had if we don't get douched with rain and they all come by in one big shot.

I haven't been out in a while, but, I know the osprey are doing well, saw one fly over the house with a salmon in its talons the other morning. Maybe it was an Atlantic Salmon.
In a rather drab suit riverpig enjoys a new brew called shallow water blackout. I forgot the underwater camera so missed the school of cutthroat. My favorite part was that we covered a mile of terrain without kicking a flipper. #ridethetide

Another smokey evening
Fishing was pretty decent for the last couple of hours of daylight culminating in some hot gurgler action right before close. They were tight on the beach and would explode as the fly was stripped. No super hogs were observed. The porpoises were going off on the way home.
