I understand the lake itself is tribal and the river above the lake, open. Can one buy a permit, pay a fee or hire a tribal guide to fish the lake? We camp here often and my kids would love to fish the lake while dad hikes up stream. Thanks.

I do believe that the river is open to everyone above Graves Creek Campground. It's been a fews years, but there are some nice trout.

You can fish in Lake Quinalt for trout if you buy a tribal fishing license. The end of the lake where the Quinalt River enters is off limits. The lake contains some cutthroat trout, but in my experience the fishing is generally not great. It is closed to salmon fishing. Irely Lake is a short hike off of the north fork road and reportedly contains some nice trout. I have not tried fishing it but I can tell you that shore access looks difficult - it is more of a swamp than a lake. A float tube would probably be helpful.
