Rezzie fishing turned on down here, they were eating small and sparse clousers well. Caught a few on a gurgler and saw some great misses. Hardest part was positioning the canoe for the cast as the school was moving up and down the beach rapidly. Best part was hooking one and observing a ten buddy fish escort.

    Anyone else finding silver?
    Cheers

I ran into a few the other day in MA10 while fishing for cutts. Sounds like I need to get the kayak out down south if the weather ever cooperates for me!

Hit the beach yesterday with Dimebrite.
Things started out well with a few nice fish to hand or lost.
As the tide got higher, the action got slower.
There was a fair amount of color to the water and a lot of fresh water siting on top of the saltwater.
Still a fun day out of the water. A couple pics of fish we caught.

I fished Case Inlet on Saturday morning from the Kayak. Had about 90 min of good activity while the tide was actually moving but, like @Stonefish said, it slowed way down the higher the tide got. Probably got 5 to hand but all in the 10-14 range so didn't snap any fish pics. I didn't see any rezzie activity.

After fishing, I met the mother-in-law, wife & kid at a u-cut Christmas tree spot on Harstine Island and realized that the kayak trailer was the perfect tool for hauling the in-laws 16ft tree.

Does anyone know the condition of the Allyn boat ramp? I'm hoping to put in there tomorrow morning and fishing from 8am high tide to around 2. Thanks and feel free to PM if needed.

    Chris,
You might be able to get that info by calling the Port of Allyn.

Board member GoFish lives nearby so maybe he'll chime in as well if he sees your post.

The boat launch in Allyn is good to go. Easy launching.

It was cold, windy but awesome. Nothing too amazing biggest fish was 16"ish but it was constant. The wind was so bad around 930am, I took the boat to two different launches and when the waves were going over the bow we bagged it. Went home put the boat to bed and just beached it.

    Headed out again this morning.
Forecast was for 8 mph winds out of the SW.
Started fishing at around 10:00. It seemed the wind increased to 18 right after I started fishing then may have hit 28 during the day. Lots of salad, casting was difficult and I felt like I was fighting MMA waves all day.

Fishing was very slow and the water continued to get dirtier from all the wave activity.
Up to that point, I'd only had two bites over four hours of fishing.
I was just about to call it a day around 2:00 but decided to walk up and fish a point that has been good to me in the past.

Since the water clarity wasn't great, I decided to tie on a 3" plus chartreuse and pink coho epoxy sandlance pattern.
The last hour I fished was excellent. I ended up hooking up on four nice fish, two of which spit the hook after multiple jumps.

Only took one picture today of a egg wagon hen that gave me a great fight.

That is a perfect looking cutthroat Brian. Way to be patient in that rough weather.
