Two days ago I visited a, I would guess well known spot on the South Fork in NorthBend, WA. I took my eight year old son with me as we haven't been fishing much together this season do to my travel schedule etc. We got to the spot around 8am. I set my son in a spot that was easy for him to cast. I walked up about 75yds and with in minutes I had hooked four bows about 8-10"" each. I gave that location a rest. I crossed and headed down no more than 100yrds from our location. By the time we had to leave I was able to get 10 bows in just under three hours. Smallest at 6" to biggest 12". One of the fish I caught had a hole in its back. Looked like it might have been stabbed by a Heron and got away. We had a great morning on the river, and as for my son no fish for the young lad. Getting out together and throwing a hook is fun. He has had luck on other outings catching dinner once while camping!
