Join us at the Spokane River Clean-up! SFTU is adopting a section of the Spokane River during this years Friends of the Falls clean up event and it would be great for anglers to join us (members or not).

We will be taking on both sides of the river from Sandifur Bridge down to river mile 72 (approx). This is the Greenwood Cemetery and the opposite/North bank. We will have boats and volunteers on foot.

    1. Volunteers for the clean up should assemble at High Bridge Park at 8:30 am, 9/26 to get organized, bags and instructions.
    2. We will split into 2 teams and walk to the clean up areas. Jim Tuck will be a team leader for the cemetery side of the river ([email protected]) , Harvey Morrison will take the other (south) side.
    3. If you have a drift boat or raft you can put on at Water Street and take out at Meenach Bridge. We'll have a garbage collection point at the take out. The gate will be unlocked at 9:00 for boaters launch and collect garbage.

    4. In the afternoon (1:00pm) we will meet up again and put several redband signs in the ground at various locations along the lower river. Meet at the Water Street "put -in" at Peaceful Valley for that action... we would love to have folks help.
