    As a searun fanatic of over 35 years I have yet to put a cutt of that size to hand. Congrats Matthew that is a real trophy for sure.

    Jordan, yes, using a two hander on the beach. Sometimes I use it as a single hand, and sometimes with both hands, just depends on the conditions or my mood. James, it's a 5wt.

    Thanks for all the replies. I'm not one to usually post a report, but this just had to be shared. I know I may very well never see another fish like this in my lifetime, but I'm happy to know they are out there! I hope this bodes well for the src populations in the future.

    Nice fish, that truly is a monster searun. I can't get over the size of the tail on that thing, awesome!
