These patterns were inspired by browsing the pattern index on this site, and by Jeff Hale who gave me some similar flies for Christmas. Thought I'd share out of appreciation, not because I'm skilled. : )

Creativity is so much fun... all of these are variations on a theme, a dark theme... my favorite.

    First Pattern:

Hook Shank: Mustad 36890 1/0 Salmon Hook (cut off at bend at completion of fly)
Stinger Hook: Size 1 Gami Octopus (would have used gray instead of red if I had gray)
Tail: Purple Ostrich clumped all around shank
    Body: Black Polar Chenille
    Ribbing: Palmered Schlappen (black)
    Thorax Hackle: Purple schlappen
Head: Black polar chenille started behind eyes ( a few wraps) finished in front of eyes (two wraps)
    Eyes: Heavy Nickel
    Thread: Black 3/0

    Second Pattern:

Hook Shank: Mustad 36890 1/0 Salmon Hook (cut off at bend at completion of fly)
Stinger Hook: Size 1 Gami Octopus (would have used gray instead of red if I had gray)
    Tail: Black Rabbit
    Body: Black Polar Chenille
    Ribbing: Palmered Schlappen (Purple)
Wing: Rabbit Strip pulled over wrapped body (zonker style)
Head: Head: Black polar chenille started behind eyes ( a few wraps) finished in front of eyes (two wraps)
    Eyes: Heavy Nickel
    Thread: Black 3/0

    Third Pattern:
Hook Shank: Mustad 36890 1/0 Salmon Hook (cut off at bend at completion of fly)
Stinger Hook: Size 1 Gami Octopus (gray)
Tail: Black Ostrich clumped all around shank
    Body: Black Polar Chenille
    Ribbing: Palmered Schlappen (purple)
    Thorax: More Black Ostrich herl
    Thorax Hackle: Purple schlappen

Bunny is money. I shared just because these are quick ties for some big uglies for winter steelhead, especially those OP fish that seem to like 'em big. I don't mind losing quick ties while swinging... but 12 lb. maxima keeps me from littering up the rivers with flies too much. : )
