I thought this was already a done deal as far as the moratorium is concerned. 2 years no wild steelhead retention. obviously i was not fully up to speed on the situation.
I think that they(whoever they are) started this thing up about steelhead rentention to see what kind of rise they could get out of everybody. It never seems to change anything. It seems to just get you all up in the air. I don't seem to worry about all of this as I don't fish the OP. And really don't plan to in the near future. But as I release all fish I catch as I don't really feel like eating any.
But this is the way I see it. It might be wrong but trying to fight for more wild fish doesn't seem to be working. After they are all gone somebody will say I told you so but you weren't listening.
