    Just below the surface on a floater and give them a slight twitch on the swing,,this causes the wing to pulsate. It is a deadly fly in my area and thought it would serve you summer steelheaders well. Can you post a pic of them kid?

    For sure... I will post a pic within a few days. I think that it will serve us all well during times when our fish are in low clear water. Its a super cool fly. I am suprised that you all tie them on such small trout hooks. Awesome Tie Salmon Chaser.

    The pattern I tied is called the Carron Fly and the particular recipe is from the book Autumns on the Spey. Sorry for the confusion.
