Just food for thought: if you really want to fish with your cuz and spend time with him, rather than pressuring him to convert, you could always throw an indicator and nymph on and fish right along side him and save the swinging for trips without him...

It's really high right now. I'd go elsewhere

Ok thanks guys.. Ya I could use an indicator I suppose. I guess maybe I should start trying to find another river to hit up. Anyone have any ideas what river might be in shape. The only river I am familiar with is the sky and we are looking to venture out somewhere else.

Forecast for next 10 days is clear/sunny, rivers have crested and fish are in.

dont even attempt it, water is crazy high. bring gear rods and bugs 4' in front of pencil lead, you will get into them. zero back cast for fly guys when water is above 10,000.

Add a name to Steve's posting above: Steelhead Trout Club of Washington. Even though I live in southern Oregon I'm still a paid up member. Joined when was 17 and found no reason to change my mind at age 70. The membership list (past and present) is a 'Whose Who' of Steelhead fishing in Washington State.
