With the longer days and warmer weather ahead I need to clear out my gear closet. I've reluctantly decided that I can live without this Thomas & Thomas Horizon HS 905 9' 5wt 2-piece. It's a factory rod with the original dark blue T&T tube and bag with internal stiffener. It has a deep navy blue blank with dark green wraps tipped in burgundy. The tip was a warranty replacement in 2002, the clue to which is a slight difference in the color of ink used to write the model number on it. You won't find cork of this quality in a new rod at any price and the grip's shape is truly elegant.
If you like a fast action rod, you'll be impressed by its ability to cast dries with pinpoint accuracy, manhandle a heavy sculpin pattern and full sink line and put the brakes on large fish dead set on going in the opposite direction. I offered this rod in late 2007 but withdrew it for sentimental reasons. New toys on the horizon mean that it's time for it to go instead of taking up space. I originally paid $399 new 10 years ago, best offer over $200 please.
I'd prefer belly-to-belly, cash transactions in the greater Seattle area. Out of town buyers can pay via PayPal with shipping calculated on an at-cost basis depending on your location. The first "I'll take it!" either by reply to this thread, PM, or email gets it.
