    mike,

Yup, midges are fine. The choice of fly is up to the tier. I usually encourage folks to tie flies they fish. Getting a really pretty fly is nice, but one that some else uses and has confiddence in is even better in my book. I also don't think a swap should break anyone's budget so if you have materials around that meet your need, use them instead of buying something especially for the swap (unless you need to tell the wife that you need something for this swap your in, then go ahead).

Mike, Yup, I fish midges a lot. Though getting the really small one on a tippet is proving to be something of a problem at this stage of life.

Count me in, not sure what I'll tie yet but it'll be something good.

    Hey Ron,

Can I still get in on the Tax Day swap? I just got back from San Diego and haven't been checking the site.

So, do I print out the recipe for each copy of the fly I am tying with my name on it, or just one copy?

    wbodger,

If you print the recipe on the toe tags, do it for each one (really small font on the printer), but all you really need are you name and the name of the fly. Once the pics are up in the gallery you can post the recipe there.
