Gents, I've been reading and sometimes posting here, and I believe I've settled on an Echo rod for my next purchase, but would like your thoughts on my choices. I've got the Dec Hogan II in their 6.5 weight application, or the E3 in a 6-wt application. The rod will be used primarily on the Methow and the Wenatchee, as you know. I'm leaning toward the 6.5 simply because it would be fun to truck over to the Duc with it for Summer runs rather than throw the 8. I'd appreciate your thoughts on my choices!

Thanks, guys; it's a drive up from the Rock Fish, but just might be worth it. Chris Banta suggested them also. Meisers are expensive compared to those Echo rods, but maybe I should rethink this.

I think you'll be happy with the Confluence. I know Scott has used the Echo rods (not sure about which ones, but he has a few...).

Just an FYI, the Sage 7126 is on clearance a couple of places for about the MSRP of the Echo 3.

I really enjoyed the 6.5 dh. It's a pretty cool rod. But, once you get one, you'll still wish you had bought the meiser--it's only money, right?

If the 1306S cast anything like the 1307, it'd be worth cutting back on a few latte's between now and then.
