If any of these catch fish then I am throwing out all of my flies and switching back to bass lures and a gear pole.

Too funny. Great story and idea.

Here's my first attempt. I call it Ralphie's Hare's Ear Nymph. It's pretty simple, but I think it would catch trout. I decided to keep the barrel exposed because it was too bulky, plus it looks more like a bead head. I found these barrel swivels with a round snap that makes a good hook. I'll keep working on it...

Ed - Are you going to fill fodf's slot up, or do you want just want 11 flies now?

Unless someone is itching to get into fodf's spot let's roll with the eleven we have. With two weeks to go it would take a motivated person to jump in now and make the deadline. Sound good?

This woolly bugger with a leach head might catch someone a shoe.... or something... I will be happy to return to a hook that has a set width in the body... although it is interesting to see the body be able to move and bend...

Just as an FYI, since it appears there may be a few streamers I have elected to go with my beetle pattern.

I have the first set of swivel flies in hand. Kerfwappie has set the bar extremly high ladies and gentlemen, I am totally blown away, yet again, at his tying talent. Good seeing you today Kerf, and great chat about that other fly fishing guy you mentioned!

Hey I may be in again I made a find this eve and it's working so if I can get them done thursday I'll mail them. We're gone tomorrow which throws it off for time. Sorry about that but I hate to see so few actually left. Still trying!

Okay Bob, we'll keep our fingers crossed. I'm finding them tough too...but seeing Kerfwappie's flies has really humbled me. That guy can tie on a swivel this good, you should see his real flies.
