The Wild Steelhead Coalition (WSC) is an organization dedicated to increasing the return of wild steelhead to the waters and rivers of the Pacific Northwest.

The rivers of the Pacific Northwest once held the greatest runs of wild steelhead in the World. Over the past 50 years, the citizens of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho have watched returning wild steelhead diminish to a fraction of their former numbers.

The Wild Steelhead Coalition was formed by a group of concerned citizens whose goal is to reverse the decline of returning steelhead by solving the problems that are facing wild steelhead. Over harvest, poor management, poor hatchery practices and habitat degradation are amongst the causes of the decline of the wild steelhead of the Pacific Northwest.

Our goal is to see that the rivers of the Pacific Northwest will again have abundant wild steelhead runs. Join us in preserving this magnificent game fish.
