Couldn't help but notice salmo likes this post. Maybe he could be shaman and
Could be the fact that chambers creek fish suck. I would agree they are poor biters, poor fighters, and garbage table fare. It's like we decided to raise the most anemic fish for our winter hatchery staple.

You gotta be nonchalant. Steelhead can sense desperation like a hot chick and will make you sweat it. Act like you could take it or leave it then they will clamour for your bug.

Mike DeMone from Fast Times at Ridgemont high has good insight here.

In all seriousness I really really suck at fishing. Fishing next to Cretch'r highlighted my suckiness.

I know that some people are just fishy they may not be good anglers in a technical sense but they are just always into fish.

Is it possible that there are just people who are unfishy?

Yes, I am definitely unfishy right now. However, I believe that can be changed.

Completely disagree. There is a reason those dudes are "always into fish"...its because they are good anglers. Reminds me of that guy in the golf group who always whines about others being 'lucky' when making putts while they are missing 4 footers. Hows your putting these days Rob?

Learned something about this many years ago. The guy who's fly is in the water fishing longer usually catches more fish and those guys always catch more fish. It's just a fact of fishing, or not fishing. You gotta have a fly in the water to catch fish. The fishy guys are usually fishing when others are on the bank talking about not catching fish.

I cannot say anything good about golf abd refuse to use it as an analogy for fishing but from a technical perspective I'd put myself among the tops of steelhead swingers in the world. But i am sure that is a rank of several hundred anglers most of them Not being guides or people you have ever heard of.
