I know there are many people using tube flies. How about setting up a swap? For example with salmon and/or saltwater tubes?
Let's show each other our heavy artillery :thumb:

I can serve as a swapmaster, and I think that about 10-15 people would be just fine. ;)

    UPDATE:

    So it starts...
    I'll do the swapmeister duties.
Let's set the due date at the 15th of February... and total of 7 tiers so far, each doing 2 patterns, 14 flies total.
Please let me know if there are any suggestions. More people is OK if participants are fine with that...

    participants:
    1. Romko (big, heavy Gulkana king salmon fly and bottle tube) IN (well, ready)
    2. Don Stracener IN (And guys, they are very nice!)
    3. Anil (Saltwater salmon tube) IN
    4. Steve Rohrbach
    5. Ringlee - IN (the first one, will get a prize!)
    6. Tricho Treat (Ed D) (steelhead marabou) IN
    7. Tightlines IN

It's been a long time since you tried to start this one, no interest?

I think a bunch of tube flies would be great!

    Steelhead tubes.

    Ocean Tubes.

    Lake tubes.

Tubes with eggs and bacon..... Anyone want to get this moving?

I would be interested in a Steelhead Winter tube only swap with 12 or less tiers.

    Regards,

Wow, even some interest ;) after a few months...

I'm currently tying one tuby for steelhead swap running here and another for for our local alaskan swap...
But here is my suggestion -
LET'S OPEN this swap with 12 people max, open for "application" ;) till... say end of January - mid-February...

    Pacific NW and AK tubes?
    What do you guys think?

I can be a swap-master if it is OK.

Count me in if we can make the deadline the end of Feb, I am having surgery here in a few days and most of Jan will be shot for me.

What exactly is the deadline for having flies to you? I am not clear from the above use of the word "application".

I am in, just let me know when and where to send the flies :thumb:

    Romko,

My question was a polite way of suggesting that you set a due date as you have now done with your edited original post.;) Thank you.

I would like to do a saltwater salmon tube? I'm not picky about the rest of you (fresh or salt). Anyone mind?

    Anil:

You can count me in if there is a saltwater tube fly swap. Have just created a floating tube sand lance pattern that I would do.
