The site as of last night is in transition to another server. During the transition the site should be fully functional but you might notice some issues if you have links directly to the forum. Following the transition it'll all be back to normal.

Let me know if you have any problems outside of what I've described.

Tight lines,

Chris

It's me again. Tried the new heading starting with oiwa. and found it but I'm still starting out as a newbie. Jim S. P. S. I just got to learn how to spell. I meant iowa. instead of www.

The forwarding freezes under Konquerer, works fine under Netscape 6.2 for linux, and Opera for linux. I assume that the code is good, but Konq is the funky one.

It's a forward / frames thang. Hopefully those with issues can put up with it until Thurs when the DNS changes are completed.

Thanks for the heads up.

Well I'm trying this again and I had to sign in again. When I went off last time I didn't sign out. I'll give it a few days then I'll see what happens. Jim S. :DUNNO

Hey Chris,

Just wanted to let you know that the website loads much more quickly since the move to the new server. Then again, I'm using a standard Microsoft platform and browser. I've not experience any problems but was surprised when I had to log in to type this message. Good Job, as usual.

Thanks for the feedback Greg. I was noticing the speed improvement as well.

The move created an opportunity to put this site on the backup server by itself. I'm sure the idea was also to free the primary server of this site and it's forum software which is resource intensive. Regardless, the pain of a few days of oddities such as the forum requiring login's should be worth it.

The move should complete by Thursday. Hopefully the login issue wont resurface but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Regards,

Getting here is no problem. My problem is every time I want to reply to anything I have to log in. I didn't have to when you had the other server. As long as I didn't log out which I never do just for not having that inconvience of having to log back in. Jim S. :CONFUSED
