Eastside MA 9: Beautiful morning for fishing; and for catching too, if you're an Osprey. I am seeing fish jumping, albeit way too far out. The armada has now moved north off Mukilteo. Conditions were ideal with large schools of baitfish dimpling the water. For about an hour, I was able to swing a fly right into them, yet not so much as a grab. The Osprey did make a nice grab however, I could have sworn it was a flounder, but perhaps it was a perch in side view. Some mesmerizing jellyfish pulsated by, and I stayed in the moment enjoying the clear, salad free water on the incoming tide. The tug is the drug, and I usually can't get past that, but this morning it was all good.
