    Hey was checking in if anyone has heard of them opening the Wenatchee this year for steelhead, thank you in advance....

    fly shop rumors here in wenatchee maybe 1st wk or so of october but ya know how that is if they do open it the fish will be walking up water is getting pretty skinny

    The story I heard from a "unknown" source is NO season.

    The person who told me is someone that does get good information on a variety of issues, but I did not ask for source.

    I heard the wdfw got hacked-better stay away until further clarification.

    Yep, it's open as of tomorrow. Just checked the WDFW website. On the downside, the number of returning fish is expected to be much lower than the past two years. Hatchery fish must be retained and the limit is two, not four like last year.
