Retired Army Medic of 21 years, 18 as a nationally registered Paramedic. After that I worked for 10 years in clinic research before getting hit with the laid off hammer like so many others, for the past year I have been working with returning veterans helping them cope with PTSD........by far the most rewarding job I have ever held.

    OMJ,
I've had some inquiries as to doing some part-time and/or consulting, and for now, I'm having too much fun to even consider it. In my world of construction, it's so depressed I was offered a contract job of 24 months that paid less than we were paying consultants 10 years ago. When I raised my eyebrows at the offer, the response was "there's a lot of overtime". That's the last thing I want right now.

Working overtime was only good when you got your paycheck. Lots of it made you tired.

Pipefitter to Management . . . from Montana to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard . . . back to Montana . . . then to Hanford, where I'm saving the world from nuclear waste for another year or so. Oh yeah, and deputy sheriff, bar owner/operator/bouncer, big-game guide, & Latin scholar (thought I was going to be a priest . . . then "things" changed . . . ).

I have had to many jobs doing to many things to list them all. Commercial fisherman, construction working, bartender (both sides) to name a few, currently an IT Manager for a large grow operation(we are hoping to go legal in a few years).
