the WF7IS6 rio outbound short ( 265 grain) is what I use for over 95% of my beach fishing. Get below the surge, down to where the fish are. Toss it on my 690-4 Xi3 and I cast to the backing knot all the time

For VERY calm water or shallow applications, I use a WF intermediate line. Never do I use a floating line fishing from the beach

Now your just bragging. LOL. If I had all that gear I would be able to afore the cost of being able to fish them. Yes I'm jealous. Nice!

St Croix Legend Ultra 6wt ( I like this rod)
Sage VT 2 9'6" 8 wt (I kinda like this rod)
TFO Jim Teeny 5wt (I like this rod)

Last summer I picked a 7/8 wt Abu Garcia Crossfire out of a g-sale free pile. That 2-piece rod handles the sink tip line great and when I'm banging around in a tin boat, it was perfect for Pinks. Maybe I like the s-l-o-w action ? cheap components. Maybe I just need more 2-piece rods!? I don't know because

Love the rod. It gets used on lakes for big trout, salt, streamers on big water, and I'll probably try it out on some Eastside Steel this fall. Fantastic setup.
