Mine, too! Oh, you mean fly rod!
Took it up to the mountains today. Really like how it casts. Took a little bit to adjust to the slower pace. Couldn't turn up any fish though.
Solid Glass for the saltwater pier.
How's that rod coming along?
I haven't been working on bamboo much this summer....busy fishing. Now that the lakes are getting too warm, rivers and some rod building. How's the healing coming along? Takes longer now days.... I do have quite a few to build.-Steve
Getting better, but progress is a little slower than I'd expected and not always a straight line upward. I've read that feeling 95%+ back to normal often takes a good year. So still no fishing, but I can do some light lawn casting at least...still haven't caught anything on my lawn but will hook and land a neighbor's car soon.
Try some mice patterns and roll cast for neighborhood cats....
Threw together this 12' Tenkara in about 10 minutes. It arrived the day before our trek up to Mt Baker area, so no wraps yet on the butt section, but it worked well
That's pretty cool Rob! Looks fun....
I'm almost done wrapping up a 6'6" fiberglass 3 weight that I bought for super cheap a few years ago. The blank is painted dark mustard yellow and I'm wrapping with some old medium brown Gudebrod thread given to me. I plan on skipping the CP because I want the wraps to look a bitt darker than they do now. I'll post some pics when done.
Just finished one for a guy in PA who asked for a bunch of feather work and burl cork after I started. I don't do that stuff, have very little experience in it, but it was too late to stop...Turned out OK and was a real education...
Nice work. Jungle [email protected] nails are fun!
Its tough to find good batches without splits anymore
You got that right...I didn't even know to worry about splits until I saw the ones I ordered...
Thanks for the kind words.
Nice job Steve! That grip would look sweet on bamboo.....
Getting ready to start a 4wt 8' Rainshadow blank... Getting my guides shortly, just have to pick a reel seat or may try a cork reel seat with bands!!
