I was thinking of getting a boat for fishing in the sound but I just bought a brand new GTI last year and it isn't exactly tow friendly.. Would it be possible to just pay to dock it somewhere in the Gig Harbor area or is this going to limit my fishing options a lot? Should I just suck it up and save up for a used truck?

    Thanks guys.

Have you considered storing it onshore at places such as Pt. Defiance boat house or Day Island Marina? Moorage in Gig Harbor is not on the cheap side of things. By the time you figure licensing the trailer and paying to launch (at some ramps) onshore storage with unlimited put ins might pencil out. However you lose the ability to go very far afield.

That looks pretty good too, I am thinking I can get the boat and dock it somewhere at least while I am saving up for a used truck then..

I've got a Sevylor Kingfisher that I will be getting rid of that fits in a duffle bag. It fits just fine in my wife's Scion...
