Red Cajun mono makes a nice rib also.
Micro tubing on one, red wire on the others. I put a coat of clear UV resin over the bodies.
WOW!! Nearly 6,000 replies, almost 400 pages, and approaching 330,000 views! What a great thread this turned into. I bet most of us go to this each time we log on. It's well worth going back to the earlier posts as there are some gems here!! I send my personal thanks to all those who participated. This sort of exchange makes us all better tyers.
I always thought the classifieds was the hot place to be!
I typically check "New Posts" but if this thread isn't among them I go looking for it. Great thread indeed!
The first thing that popped into my feeble mind was "Flappers," Brian . . . and I wasn't even around during the Roaring Twenties, lol.
The Usk Grub, an old Welsh Atlantic Salmon pattern I learned about from Dec Hogan's book.
You've been on quite a rabbit binge lately Brian bet those swims and undulates really well.
We’ll see how they swim Lou.
It would likely help if I fished a river more then once every couple of years.
I’m really liking using the Bruiser Blend and Laser Dub. You can only tie so many clousers.
Fox tail, a first for me.
Today has been the perfect kind of tying day. When I made it out last week I discovered how tore up my fly boxes were. After a year of fishing they are in desperate need of restocking.
Started off with a winter favorite.
More restocking. Man this fly has been killer!
Still getting a feel for my new camera. The macro mode on this thing is pretty impressive.... But it sure brings out the flaws in the UV job lol
Icelandic sheep and laser dub.
