I'm looking for input on what your favorite online shop is for tools, supplies and materials? I will be leaving to Germany and will not have an accessible fly shop to get things from. Imhoping someone can give mei insight to a company that sells quality products and large selections.

You might try looking at some of this site's sponsors. I think you'll be able to find what you are looking for right here in WA.

If you can't shop locally, Feather Craft has a lot of materials.

I do know of fly shops in Germany but there are a couple reasons why I wouldn't rely on them. My German is only "okay" I understand quite a bit but im lacking in sentence structure. Throw in technical German about fly fishing and tying and you've reached a whole new level of difficulty. Secondly the exchange rate is brutal.

There are lots of good ones. You should try a few of the site sponsors. My wife just bought a couple of lines for me from Big R, no shipping and quick service.

fishwest.com I have purchased from them a couple of times lately. Free shipping on all orders.

    redsflyshop.com No tax, no shipping

Flyfishusa.com and free shipping with order over $50, no tax. I buy from local shops or from them. Best web site around for a small fly shop.

Between Feathercraft and Blue Ribbon they have a good majority of your common needs filled.

since there is no fly shops online or otherwise that carries all fly tying materials, there is no "best" fly shop.

you might want to consider buying from fly shops in europe or your likely to pay higher taxes and shipping costs from the usa

try cookshill, glasgow angling center, funky fly tying etc

you might also want to post on this forum

I will have a U.S. shipping address and will only pay taxes if the shop charges. Are the shops you are recommending in England? The pound is worse than the euro. Although it would give me incentive to do some fishing in the UK. Last tour I avoided it because its just so pricey. I wasn't fly fishing back then though.
