I finally have a day to go fishing again. My choices are the Yak, the Kalama, the Tilton, or the South Sound Salt.
Any recommendations? Any input on the pros or cons of any or all of the above? Thanks in advance.
I drove by the tilton last thursday and saw nothing. I talked to a fish and wildlife guy and he said that they were only releasing 6 steelhead a week into the tilton. That will help the wild runs! Not really though. It is closed to residential trout.
Good Luck!

No drift boat, I do have a float tube and canoe though. Wasnt really planning on anything more than wading and shore fishing. I'll be taking a newbie friend out as well.
I talked with my guide buddy on the Kalama. He says that right now, the fishing on the Kalama is the best it has been all year. Sounds like a good bet.
Don't listen to him. I just got thru talking to the hatchery and there are no fish to be had. He said some wild Steelhead are still coming in but the hatcheries are done. He said better to wait til the end of march, beginning of April that way you have a better chance of hooking into some early summer runs and some Chinook should be coming in too.:smokin
