When my wife told me she would be heading out of town for six weeks I though great I can fish everyday. I started checking my maps for rivers to hit. I sharpened the hooks and made sure I had enough flies tied up for a month. I was even going to call in sick to work a couple of times. Then she dropped the bombshell on me. Julia "I'm going to be out of town for six weeks in June and July." Me "Oh hunny I'll miss you while you are gone." Julia "Yeah right you will be fishing all month." Me "I'll still miss you. Where are you going?" Julia "Alaska." Me (under breath "Fuck")..."Oh that sounds fun." Julia (under breath "Hah hah")..."I wish you could go." Me (under breath "me too")...."Yeah I have to work and pay the bills" :beathead: :beathead: :beathead: So the moral of the story is this. Whatever you do don't ever let your wife go to Alaska without you. She went to Ninilchick (Halibut central). She took many pictures of moose, bears, wolves, eagles, Carabou, Musk Ox, And of course fish. She went to Denali and was there on a day when the clouds did not obscure it (very rare). Oh and did I mention the fishing and clamming she did while she was there. Well, anyway I'm not bitter or anything.
