Between the wind, Rattlesnakes and the gas to get here, it's not worth making the trip accross the mountains. There is so much better fishing on the west side.

It might have something to do with people saying the W-word, not to mention posting about it with the title in ALL CAPS! (sigh) ;)

McNasty, Enlightened, and I toughed it out Saturday. In one situation, the thirty mph wind actually benefited us.

Think of it this way , The winds chill factor helps keep the beer cold

It has an effect on the temperature I think it is, if I think it will have an effect.

i am watching the weather (wind) forecast like a hawk, we are going camping at sunlakes opening weekend. I plan on trying out the float tubes for the first time there. unless it gets to crazy you can usually find a decent cove to shelter from the wind... you just have to get there.

Accuweather is the best I have found for wind predictions, I always look at the town above the wind and the town after, if they are consistent its a pretty good bet that's what the wind will be. Over in that area about 1-2 in the afternoon it is almost always lunch time and I go back out around 6ish

for example if i am fishing sun lakes, i will watch coulee citie, and soap lake weather patterns.
