No opposition here, getting a fly and being told how to fish it sure is a benefit.

I can't possibly think of a more fun way to catch them!!!

Sent my addy to you all. Let me know if you didn't get it for some reason. Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year! I plan on throwing some flies on Whidbey this weekend, we'll see what happens.

    Cheers,
    Dinker

Wrapped up my Winter Steelhead Swap (I) for the mail and put my next project materials out for tomorrow. I'm up, of course, so I figured I'd watch a little MMA, Sportscenter, Dealiest Catch and tie up a few. So far they are looking a bit like this. I like them, I hope you do too. I got some similar to this in another swap and just knew they'd fish well.

#8 Stainless stinger hook on doubled 30# power pro (sexy red)
    Purple bunny leech strip tail
    Peacock/purple sparkle flash
Purple and pink ostrich for action
    Pink bunny head/collar

Got 'em all done, hitting up USPS online and will get them in the mail this afternoon.

Monkey see, Monkey do....Here is my take on a chartreuse and purple Mahoney from Dec Hogan's book that I'm sending in for the swap. Yes, it is a winter spey pattern, but don't let that stop you from using it with a single-hander too. :thumb:

Quite elegant, I'll use it on a single...until I learn how to use a double hander.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to put out a friendly reminder that we only have two weeks left. Hope everyone is enjoying this great weather!
I got the opportunity to fish the Washoughal and the narrows yesterday as I travel a lot for work. No steel, but got one rezzie to hand before it got dark!

Gotta get 'em back to all of us to test and tie some replicas before the WFF 2009 Hoh Down!
