Which are your preferred wetflies for trout?
gold ribbed haires ear softhackle
same as FFK. Hard to beat the Hares Ear Soft Hackle. Some other favorites are the Zug Bug, and i guess you would have to consider Carey Special a soft hackle.
Phesant tail soft hackle. Just love the fly.
the hairs ear and pt are classics. A muddler and a bh hares ear soft hackle are pretty much the only two flies I fish in Alpine lakes. Also try little olive bodied soft hackles. They slay!
try a " red ass" . A small piece of red yarn for the but, peacock body ribbed with a single strand of pearl crystal flash, soft gray hackle, gold bead.
Gray Hackle Yellow
Brown Hackle Peacock
a mink-bodied, partidge hackle
wingless Royal Coachman
Pink Lady Bucktail (which isn't a bucktail in the traditional sense)
Do chronnies count?
Grey Hackle Peacock, Spider, Adams wet fly, PMD wet fly (actually great both during hatches and spinner falls), mosquito soft-hackle. I don't use traditional wet flys smaller than #16.
Partridge and green, partridge and orange and PT soft hackles. I never hit a river without those in my fly box. I carry several of each size from 6 to 18.
If your looking for patterns for wet flies try www.dtnicolson.dial.pipex.com Donald ties and catalogs the old tried and true patterns as well as the newer flies. I use his site as a reference all the time.
