Thanks to Mark Kraniger for developing this pattern.

    Kraniger's two tone nymph
    Hook: Tiemco 2302 or Daiichi 1560 #10-12
    Bead: black, 1/8 or 7/64th
    Tail: Pheasant tail fibers
Body: Fine & Dry dubbing, color: hare's ear
shell back: pheasant tail fibers from the tail
    Rib: fine red wire
Thorax: Brown squirrel dubbing spun in dubbing loop and pulled back like a soft hackle.

I fish this under an indicator, trolling, or cast/retrieve on full intermediate sink or clear tip lines. Great searching pattern. Another fly that caught a pile of fish in the Basin last fall.

I certainly can attest to it's fish catching prowess on at least one lake last fall. Great pattern.

Ira - that would be MY fish catching prowess, right? Wink

I like that one! I tie something very similar using the pull over/rib two- tone method. Very easy to do and I think it adds to the pattern
