    That's a really goo looking fly, i can't quite make out how it was tied, could you explain it?

    Mike, The top half is a rabbit strip tied Matuka Style. I got ahold of some really thick rabbit strips and wound a piece of wire around the hook and over top of the strip. The botom half is simply rabbit fur from a bag dubbed in and picked out. The wire runs through the fur on the bottom half as well. Adds strength and a very small ammount of weight. Its not lead wire..just light guage steel wire. I used this fly to catch that steelhead in the other pic. You can barely make out the fly in its mouth. I released the fish right after the pic was taken. Still have that fly on my wall. I retired it.
