    East Fork
Tied on a red hook, this would be an awesome bloodworm pattern.

    aka: Longears
    Very simple tye.
    Mustad 80250BR size 12-18
    Clear .004 mono thread
Clear midge Liquid Lace injected with baby oil
    Black Pantone pen

Make 1 dot on each side of hook half way up body.
place liquid lace on top of hook wrap 4 overlapping wrap firectly behind hook eye
Sparsely wrap Liquid Lace along back of hook to desired lenght.
Take 4 more wraps to trap oil pressure in tubing.
Stretch tigh and take 3 wraps towards the hook eye. after the third wrap ; continue wrapping towards the hook eye only release the tension on the lace and allow it to "wrap on the hook naturally" When you get towards the front pull tightly for the last 3 wraps and take 4 overlapping tight wraps to trap the oil pressure. Cut Lace and Whip finish.
This pattern proved itself at "Zipper-lip" Lake in BC last year after we pumped a fish onnly to find it gorged itself on hundreds of thes delicases.
They kind of remind me of those clear Chinese noodles that you get in Soups.
Do Not use too much of the black marker though. The mark on the specimens that we saw were only 1 segment of the worms body. The lenght was about 5/8".
Fot a bloodworm just color the area of the hook that the Liquid Lace is tyed on. Terrific pattern as well! Randy Diefert

I tie on like this, but I wrap holographic mylar (red, olive, black, whatever) first underneath the clear larva lace. It's awesome.
