    Mike, that's a real beauty! what weight? length? did you make it from a kit or from raw cane? The colors are outstanding.

    Thanks papafish, it's a 7' 4wt for a DT line from a Wayne Catanach taper formula. I made this from the start of building my forms and splitting the bamboo , planing the strips and glueing and the finish work. It was real interesting. I spent more time building my tools than building the rod I would guess. I'm just starting to think about what to make for rod #002

    I tried making a pmq and gave up halfway into it.
    Really like the sliding band seat. Did you use an agate stripper?

    Well I wish I would have went with a agate stripping guide. But with about $200 for the hardware I had to cut it down a bit. I could always remove the one on there and wrap on a agate. The next rod will have one though for sure.
