    How often do you make it up to the Elk? Jeez, the last time I went was about....3 years ago or so. It is probably the most beautiful river I have ever fished, and the fish are amazing. Nothing like casting Sofa Pillows or Stimulators all day, and catching 20+ inch cutthroat! I have never fished that river with a single nymph. I probably would've caught a lot more, but I tell you theres nothing like seeing an aggressive big fish rise to your fly. One time when I was on fishing the elk in August, I actually saw about a 20 inch cutthroat beach itself to catch a grasshopper, then frantically flop his way back into the river! Some big Bullies in there too! Sweet pic man, I'm jealous!
