    Winter fishing in the mid-Columbia



    Some steelhead caught 2/14-15 just across the Columbia in Oregon. Five landed, two lost. This was the biggest, around 32-33 inches

    This buck fought like a brute. So much stronger than the 26 inch fish. I got my knuckles rapped a couple times when he took off downstream. It was all "run silent, run deep" like Red October, except for one leap that got me worried when I saw how big he was. Still, he never got into the backing.
