If you had one cast, how would you fish this hole? What angle (i.e. a-e), what specific fly?

It is hard to tell depth by the photo, but based on what I can see, I'd start my drift/swing around K and mend/ swing/fish it through J, I, H ending somewhere between F and G.
    Good fising, Boot.
    p.s.-how about a new story

    Bonk Hatcheries
I wouldn't fish any of those. Maybe above M a couple feet in that seam.

For dryfly action, I might position myself slightly above G and cast slightly downstream and across to the left toward that brushy bank and work down. Alternative #2 would be working upstream from F. From position O, I might stay low on my knees almost, and scoot up a bit and work a nymph thru that seam and on down. Hard to say how deep that is. To me it might appear not to hold fish, but hard to tell from the photo. If it is the head of the next pool downstream, I have caught fish in very shallow pieces like this.

Wadin it looks like the current is heading from left to right and i'm guessing it's late spring so i'd start with a March Brown on the surface (love to fish dries) and focus in close from O to A and then work my way from O to L with a caddis pattern if the March doesn't take.
Moving upstream i'd work E a little and then fan out to the deeper slot in H I J K lmnop...OOPS!

F appears to show some good undercut bank action. Throwing a Caddis with a EHC dropper might do the trick.

Dang I failed the test! You said "ONLY ONE CAST".

    I'm a teacher, I fish to eat!
I would probably walk through it then look back at and say.....DAMN i should have fished that, it was good looking water, then i would be mad and tromp on down the river

I would high stick a pair of nymphs through N and then swing a fatty streamer from J all the way through the bottom of the photo...
