I see a lot of blue in there! Wink

Here is the drill and even though it probably doesn't matter, I stick by it:

That flashabou I see down by your keyboard is "Kingfisher Blue". That goes well with blacks and other blues.

The other blue I love equally is "Spiderman Blue". That goes really well with purples.

I like to have both those blues in flashabou, marabou, and schlappen.

That special fly that had that unfortunate explosion on you is the combo of both the blues: that is a spiderman blue body (I use rabbit strip), kingfisher schlappen throat, than kingfisher flashabou, than some sparse kigfisher marabou at the head. This fly seems to have some magic. It is called the kingfisher and it is original to me as far a I know. Be sure to be sparse when you wrap that marabou. It doesn't take much and choose feathers with the long spindly fibers.

The other magic fly is the same layout but substitute purple for the spiderman blue in that fly and spiderman blue for the kingfisher blue.

A third fly that is a classic color combination that started with MKinney is same as the above but substitute black for the purple and use kingfisher instead of spiderman blue.

I think the magic of blue is that fact that it is a dark and bright color. It is like purple. It rides a fine line and can be a good choice no matter the conditions.

Pulled an array of similar stuff out at work once on a slow night. My portable kit is now known as my "gay box."
