A Neah Bay black rockfish. Salmon fishing was off in the Straits, but the black rockfish were plentiful and obliging. I probably caught 40 to 50, easily, each day. Some were in the 20 inch range, and a couple got away that felt like they would be bigger. Great place, great fishing!

Weather couldn't have been better. I don't know how many black bass I caught that day . . . 40? 50? Sometimes they'd be in sequence. The only way it could have beenb better is if the salmon had been in, too! (but they were waaaay out in the Pacific).
