This buck chum took a shine to a gold-bodied, green-winged bucktail. After a few minutes, I thought that I was making some progress. That's when the chum decided to investigate the other side of the river. First the rest of my fly line and then a long stretch of backing disappeared. But, the fly was lodged firmly in the jaw and I brought it to the bank to admire briefly and then let it go to continue its mission.
