Doesn't care how you fish Moderator
I had a fly with the same name and very similar concept published in fly fishing for pacific salmon II book.

Ringlee, I'm sorry if there is a similarity between our flies,
I don't own or have never owned the book, even though I probably should! I guess I'll have to look it up now to see yours, If you like I'd be happy to change it's name, I'm sure we had the same thing in mind when we came up with it.

Ringlee, I looked up your fly in FF Pacific Salmon II and see absolutely no similarities in our flies, two different animals IMO.
But I thank you for bringing the name to my attention as I was not aware that it had been used before, I also looked online and
found three other patterns with the name "squimp" so not sure if a name change is needed, but I might change it anyway.
    Thanks again for the info.

Thanks 1morecast, It's gotten more attention than it probably deserves in the fly tying section, I just hope others have as much
success with it as I've had.
