    what part of the world is this? ive only seen very few u.s. browns like this; they were all spring creek grand-dads. Great photo.

    This a trout from the Nera river in Italy. I have fished that exact spot on numerous ocassions when I was living there. The large browns are released into the creek from the hatchery near the spot on the river where this fish was caught. They are beautiful fish, though not wild. Its basically the Italian equivalent of Rocky Ford Creek.
