I have one of these bad boys and let me tell you something....this is a top-o-the-line never seen before innovative rod wrapping contraption. It practically builds the rod for you!! Extremely impressive work this here Roper does...extremely!!!

Nice work! Great attention to detail. My 2-bit version is put to shame.
Are you using yarn to hold the rod? Is there tension on the yarn at all?

What appears to be yarn is actually a "stretchy" bungee style rope with a soft outer fabric. It works excellent for holding the rod and the rods turns freely. Every aspect of this tool is top-notch!! Roper is one of the best woodworkers I have ever met!!!!

Lucky if I get out anymore!
Very nice. It was this design that inspired me to make my own outfit, and Roper was even kind enough to let me take a look at his plans.
