    Where you targeting kings on that outing or was it an incidental bi-catch. I have always been interested in tying into them... I have only done it in the salt never in fresh...How do you do it? P.S. Killer fish

    I was with on this trip and we were targeting Kings. We nymphed exclusively for them with egg patterns on 10 weight rods. It takes heavy weight to get the flies down and a large indicator. This type of fishing requires strong roll casting and lob casting skills. It is a blast!

    Thanks for the heads up. I love those kings, they are so strong. I learned to steelhead on the Deschutes and my favorite hole has trees right along the river. Roll casting is my strength...Thanks again
