    Thanks guys, there weren't a lot of stripers around in Maine last year, but we did get a few good ones.

    Porter, I used an 8wt. switch rod for school-sized stripers early in the season, and a 10 wt. when the bigger fish/ bait showed up. As far as lines go, I used a shooting head line with a fast sink tip or a floater depending on where I was fishing. Most of the fishing I did was from the shore, so I was either using crab/clouser patterns on the flats or poppers/deceivers patterns off the beach/rocks.
